Salary: £16,874 - 17,180 per annum (FTE £20,812 - £21,189)
Working Pattern: Part-time (30 hours per week)

Ball Tree Croft are looking for a passionate and highly motivated Night Support Worker to join their team.
About Ball Tree Croft
Ball Tree Croft is a long-established residential care home for people who have learning disabilities situated in Sompting in between Lancing and Worthing. It is home for up to 15 people and also has a 'short-break service' for up to 4 people.
As a Night Support Worker, you will:
- Provide personal physical, emotional care and support during a waking night shift.
- Listen to people and treat all with respect, kindness and dignity.
- Undertake light domestic duties as required to ensure cleanliness, comfort, and safety for people we support throughout the day e.g., laundry, or safely cleaning an area after a person has needed personal care.
- Complete regular hourly checks around the service, to include checking on people's wellbeing and on the security of the building.

Experience and skills (These will be used as the shortlisting criteria)
Key Skills:
- Ability to interpret information, such as service complaints, and then redirect them to the appropriate person to provide quick and accurate resolution.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to provide clear and concise specialist advice and guidance to a range of people we support. Be able to work with a person who might be less able to express themselves and understand non-verbal communication.
- Clear, concise basic literacy and numeracy skills to record and document activities in the care plan.
- Able to deal appropriately with expressive behaviour from people and respond sensitively to their families and carers.
- Able to build relationships with people from a wide variety of cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds.
- Ability to work as part of a team completing shared tasks to deliver a service to others.
Qualifications and/or experience:
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to record and document activities in the provider plans.
- Diploma Level 2 in Care, or willingness to work towards, or equivalent qualification - Desirable
- Basic understanding of Safeguarding, the needs of the people and their rights as an individual.
- Demonstrable successful experience of working as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety practice, First Aid and Fire procedure, Manual Handling - Desirable
- Previous experience of working in a care setting and with people who have a disability or vulnerable people - Desirable
