An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy, friendly, and professional Neighbourhood First team at Lewes and Eastbourne Council’s.
Neighbourhood Advisors are the first point of contact for customers of the Council and you will be the face of the Customer First team on the street and in the community to promote a culture of customer focus and to ensure we respond to local needs.
As a Neighbourhood Advisor you will be a member of a multi-skilled neighbourhood based team, providing a presence in the community, meeting and helping customers, identifying, solving and preventing problems, making rapid assessments of the best next step to take, helping customers to get the help and support they need and ensuring the highest standards of service are maintained.
You will take ownership of standards in your zone and carry out a range of work to maintain and improve standards including: extensive daily patrols in all weathers investigating, reporting, resolving and escalating issues as required; scheduled inspections; ad hoc checks and verifications at the request of other teams; initial investigations into a range of customer complaints/service requests; advising the public when they are in breach of laws, rules and byelaws.
You will be enthusiastic, proactive, self-motivated and well organised with excellent communication and administration skills and the ability to use your initiative as well as working closing within a team. You will have a strong commitment to providing service excellence.
