The salary for this position is £31,262 to £33,321 per annum based on a 36-hour working week.

The Role

Within the Planning, Performance and Support Service of Surrey's Environment, Transport and Infrastructure (ETI) Directorate, the Leadership Support Team plays a vital role. To enhance collaboration among our Senior Leadership Teams within ETI, we are seeking two dedicated Personal Assistants (PAs) to join our team.

As a Personal Assistant you will engage and communicate regularly with a diverse range of stakeholders, representing the Leadership Team to Surrey Cabinet Members, Members of Parliament, districts and boroughs, and other organizations. Your role will be instrumental in providing high-level administrative support to one or more Directors within the ETI Directorate Leadership Team (DLT), including effectively managing, prioritizing and coordinating their workload.

Daily responsibilities may include:

  • Inbox management
  • Complex electronic diary management
  • Co-ordinating complex report documents and presentations
  • Supporting the preparation for key meetings, including managing forward plans, producing agendas and minute taking
  • Tracking and recording progress against actions
  • Proactively and autonomously advancing areas of work on behalf of the Director

As a skilled and confident communicator, you will utilise initiative and tact to foster successful relationships. Your exceptional prioritisation skills, coupled with your commitment to professional standards will be crucial in delivering complex tasks across multiple workstreams.

Here are the qualities, skills & experiences we are looking for in our Personal Assistant:

  • Experience working as a Personal Assistant or Senior Administrator with a desire to progress as a Personal Assistant
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders
  • A good track record in building strong and trusted relationships
  • Impeccable professional standards, working proactively and autonomously with excellent attention to detail
  • Great organisation skills with the ability to effectively prioritise multiple or conflicting demands
