We are recruiting a Child Protection Team Manager.
The role will be responsible for the management, oversight and development of Child Protection work to ensure that children have the right plan at the right time, and that all plans progress in a timely manner and intervention is effective support children within their families and prevent the need for the plan to escalate.
In Knowsley our Child Protection Teams are responsible for support and interventions for families from the point of referral up to 1st hearing. This is a crucial point of transfer as it allows for high level interventions at Child in Need up-to Pre Proceedings.
As the Child Protection Manager, you will effectively lead, manage and develop 6 social workers in your team.

The successful applicant will evidence their experience and leadership skills in respect of Child in Need, Child Protection, PLO, Quality Assurance and the development of services in this area of work to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
