DEPARTMENT: COMMUNITY HEALTH & WELLBEING DEVELOPMENT TEAM

GRADE D      £22,777 to £25,409 (pro rata) per year (pay award pending)

TYPE: TEMPORARY FOR UP TO 12 MONTHS* - further extensions are subject to continuing external funding. 

HOURS PER WEEK: 18.5 hours per week

LOCATION: ILKESTON TOWN HALL

 

An exciting opportunity is available for a highly motivated and committed individual to join Erewash Borough Council’s Community Health and Wellbeing Development Team.

This is a key and fulfilling role where the successful individual will be required to engage with community groups, organisations and other key partners to develop, drive and promote initiatives to encourage people to lead healthier and active lives within the Petersham area of the borough. 

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a community setting and of working in partnership with organisations such as schools, clubs, community groups and other health and community organisations.  Good communication skills are required, and you will need experience of engaging with the public and partners, in writing and in person.  Experience of leading and coordinating similar health and activity initiatives is desirable. 

A culture exists within Community Health and Wellbeing Development where continual professional advancement through training and learning will be supported and encouraged.

Hours of work will mainly be day time working but may include occasional evenings, weekends and during holiday periods.

Please note this post requires the successful candidate to undertake a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
