About the role

We’re looking for a creative, curious individual to join our Residential Care team as a Relief Residential Care Officer. The home is in Gainsborough, it is a long term Children's Home which provides care for children and young people between the ages of 10 and 18. You’ll be passionate about care and deeply committed to helping children across the county to achieve positive outcomes.

Residential Care Officers are required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and a shift pattern is worked, including bank holidays and weekends. All applicants must be computer literate and it is desirable to have knowledge and/or experience of the caring profession. Successful candidates will be required to complete a Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce Diploma.

The role will be challenging at times but you will have the support of the management and the staff team and be able to reflect on your practice daily. The role is extremely rewarding which is evident of the length of time we retain workers for and the outcomes we achieve for the children.
You will have a robust training and development program including
social pedagogy, restorative practice and trauma informed ways of working and have monthly supervision to further your development.
