Full time, 37 hours per week Temporary for 18 months
Grade 7 £31,974 - £34,922 pa
Test Valley Borough Council has a track record of supporting our communities. We are looking for an enthusiastic Planning professional to continue that way of working by assist with developing new and innovative ways of engaging with communities and parishes and helping them to deliver Neighbourhood Plans and other types of community planning. From the towns of Andover and Romsey to our rural areas down to the edge of Southampton you will work with our wide ranging communities.
This is a great opportunity for someone who already has some experience within Planning or someone starting out in their career looking to develop their skills across a wide range of activities, with a focus on Neighbourhood Plans but also supporting Village Design Statements and working on the Local Plan. You will also work with colleagues across the Council to make sure the plans are taken through the relevant statutory processes.
As well as an understanding of Planning we will need someone who is an excellent communicator who can work well with others. You will be part of a small team and therefore we are looking for a motivated individual who will enjoy the challenge of helping deliver a high profile service.
