This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the Financial Management Division within Halton Borough Council to assist and support the delivery of a range of services, in order to meet both Directorate and Corporate financial requirements.
Working closely with the Finance Officers in the Corporate Finance Team. the main duties of the role will be:
- Providing financial information and analysis to finance officers and budget managers.
- Financial administration including raising purchase orders, debtors and creditors and monitoring of income and expenditure.
- Undertake analysis of financial data utilising the Agresso Financial ledger and Microsoft Excel tools
- Assist with budget setting and year-end accounting closedown within given deadlines, liaising with finance officers and external auditors.
We are seeking an ambitious, enthusiastic and hardworking Finance and Budget Management Assistant with excellent communication skills and experience of working in a finance environment. Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience of finance systems are essential, as is the ability to plan and prioritise their own workload with minimal supervision.
