We are looking to appoint a lead practitioner to support the effective, consistent and high standards for delivery of the teaching of English at primary level across the Trust.  In addition, this person will support the development of teaching and learning in our primary schools.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent primary school teacher with a passion for teaching and learning, specialising in English and will have experience of leadership in these areas or will be an independent educational consultant.  The Trust presently has three schools within the primary phase and you will define and develop teaching and learning and English development strategies, providing support and challenge to each of the schools.

You will report to the Primary Quality of Education Lead and will be responsible for building positive relationships and linking best practice in our schools.  You will be required to work together with teachers in curriculum development and lesson planning.

Good organisation, interpersonal, communication and time management skills will be important.  Applicants should have the skills and a proven record in leadership of teaching and learning and English across their schools.

Any secondment to this one-year post (2023-24) will need the agreement of the applicant’s Headteacher.

Corvus is a growing Trust and currently has five schools supporting students from Infants through to Secondary, within the local area.  All of our Trust schools are successful and thriving, where students are happy, safe, engaged in their learning and motivated.  The Trust schools enjoy shared values and a common ethos and vision to support and guide children throughout their education. Our teamwork enables collaboration whilst retaining our individuality, giving every young person in our care the opportunity to fulfil their potential.

This post is based in the Trust office in Crowthorne which is located approximately 3 miles from Wokingham and Camberley and 12 miles from Reading.  It enjoys excellent links to surrounding villages, towns and cities via the M3, M4 A329M, and local rail networks.
