What does a Street Scene Enforcement Response Officer do at Hillingdon?
This is a newly created Response Officer role, with a responsibility to investigate enquiries within the Councils new Street Scene Enforcement Team. These will relate to Highways, environmental, waste, and general street scene prohibitions and regulations on Council land, public highway, and private land where regulations apply.
Key will be the ability to respond to, plan and prioritize high volume work and carry out a wide range of investigation, advisory and enforcement functions.
To provide a high quality, customer focused service to residents and elected members, and effective responses to complaints and service requests.
To contribute towards the implementation of Council strategies to protect the public and build stronger communities.
Within the role there will be targets set, which you strive to meet and exceed. Driving the highest standards across the whole area of Street Scene enforcement is a critical activity for the Council.
You will play an important role in driving cultural and organisational change throughout the service to ensure an effective, robust and resilient team to support the needs of our residents.
About you
In this role you will be pivotal in delivering our service priorities through innovation and inspiration, contributing to the future development of Street Scene Enforcement activity.
You will have a proven track record as an enforcement officer with skills and experience in evidence gathering and formal enforcement actions. You will be able to produce high quality reports and responses, witness statements and present evidence in Court.
You will possess knowledge and understanding of the national policies, legislation around all aspects of Street Scene Enforcement.
