Case Officer (Corporate Services) Corporate Debt
Full time (37 hours per week)
Fixed Term Contract for 18 months
Grade D - £25,244 per annum
We have an opportunity to join our Corporate Services Department as a Case Officer. You will benefit from working in a multi-skilled team focused on the Council's core services.
The successful candidate will be proactive and experienced in administrative support, with the ability to work independently with the support of our Specialist Teams. Customer service is important to us, and the role will involve providing excellent customer service to a range of stakeholders.
You will need to have the ability to adapt to a changing environment which can be influenced by the economy and legislative changes. Specific experience in debt recovery would be advantageous.
The primary function of the post holder will be to assist with the recovery of debts including housing income, council tax, overpaid housing benefit, sundry debts and business rates (NNDR). The role will involve communicating with customers, setting up and monitoring payment arrangements and taking recovery action where arrangements fail. You will support the specialist function in ensuring timely and correct information is gathered to support the court process which is fundamental for the authority.
