Enforcement Officer
Knowsley's Growth Agenda continues to deliver and we are looking for a dynamic, driven and individual to join the Council's Planning Service to assist in the Development Management Team deal with unauthorised developments and ensure new development is effectively monitored to ensure compliance with the relevant planning permissions.
The successful candidate will deal with a varied planning enforcement caseload. You will need to be able to demonstrate that you have the necessary investigative and people skills to take cases from initial investigation to resolution through appropriate actions, in an outcome focussed environment.Applicants must have a good level of education and be a good communicator.
A full driving license and access to a vehicle or equivalent mobility is essential to be able to undertake the full range of duties involved in this role.
Your ability to handle situations with tact and diplomacy, especially where emotions sometimes run high, together with excellent organisational and administrative skills, will each be key to the achievement and challenge of these roles.
At Knowsley Council we will consider requests for flexible working. For most roles, the following types of flexibility are usually possible: flexible hours, working from home, compressed hours, part-time.
