What does a Lead Programme Delivery Counsellor do at Hillingdon?

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Substance Use and Misuse Programmes for a fixed term (1 year) full time Lead Programme Delivery Counsellor.

The Substance Use and Misuse Programmes offer a range of education, prevention and therapeutic intervention to children and young people in Hillingdon, where there is a concern in relation to substance misuse. Funding has enabled the Programme to create a new role within the team to respond to families who are being affected by substance misuse. This will involve working with children, siblings and parents.

As a Lead Programme Delivery Counsellor, you'll work within a small team of specialist practitioners delivering targeted services and have the opportunity to deliver an effective therapeutic programme offer, including individual counselling and group-based support services. About you

We're looking for a dynamic and inspiring person, willing to commit themselves to the delivery of this focussed programme to families in Hillingdon. You will be an experienced counselling practitioner with at least a Level 4 Diploma qualification and be affiliated to a professional counselling body, for example BACP. You will be confident in the delivery of individual and group-based therapeutic activities, and able to see the potential in everyone you work with. Experience working within substance misuse field will be desirable.

If you have the ability to work in a therapeutic context with children young people, and adult parents, and you're a flexible team player, you'll find this an exceptionally rewarding way to use your skills and experience.
