Salary: £21,080 up to £23,080 inclusive annual salary + up to 19.7% employer pension contribution, plus car user allowance
Contract: Permanent
Post: Part time (18.5 hours/week)

Annual Leave: 30.5 up to 33.5 days, plus public bank holidays

We are looking for a talented officer to join the team to deliver all contaminated land consultation and investigations. You will be supporting the Environmental Compliance team’s response to planning applications and response to external Environmental Information Requests (EIR) and Freedom of Information Requests (FOI). This role also has a proactive element in relation to the Council’s responsibilities under Part IIA of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
You must be educated to degree level (or equivalent) with a relevant Environmental Health qualification. You must have specialist experience in contaminated land work and a good grasp of relevant environmental legislation. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills is essential for this post.
