Enfield Council's SEN Team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced SEN Tribunal, Mediation and Dispute Resolution Officer to join our team. This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to parents and young people during the Special Educational Needs (SEN) tribunal process.
Key responsibilities include:

- Representing Enfield Council at SEN tribunal and mediation hearings
- Drafting and submitting evidence to the tribunal on behalf of Enfield Council
- Ensuring that all relevant deadlines are met, and all documentation is accurately completed and submitted
- Maintaining accurate records of all tribunal activity and outcomes
- Liaising with other professionals, such as solicitors, barristers, and educational psychologists, as required
- Keeping up-to-date with changes to SEN legislation and guidance, and sharing this knowledge with the team

The successful candidate will have:

- A thorough understanding of SEN legislation and guidance, including the SEN Code of Practice
- Experience of representing a local authority at SEN tribunals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload and work to strict deadlines
- The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals
- A commitment to providing an excellent service to parents and young people
