Your role in our journey

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly ambitious, innovative, energetic, friendly and high achieving Public Health team.  The team has developed strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, making our work more effective in meeting the needs of our population and tackling health inequalities.

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Public Health Practitioner with passion for improving public health to support health protection and health care public health.  This full-time post will provide specialist public health advice and support to the health protection and healthcare public health team.   The post holder will provide strategic and operational leadership to key areas of work relating to Health Protection, such as infection prevention control, screening and immuinsation linking with local and regional partners.  The successful candidate will support our healthcare public health programme in areas such as cancer early detection and prevention and cardiovascular disease to improve population health and inequalities through preventative interventions.  Alongside this, the role will provide support to effective and evidence-based practice and decision making as part of our public health research and intelligence function to maximize our resources and the outcomes, we achieve with them.

 

What you’ll need

An experienced specialist in public health policy and methodologies, your track record will include involvement in the development of strategies and policies to change services and outcomes and use of evidence-based project, change and performance management techniques to drive successful change.
