An enthusiastic, dynamic and inspirational Head of Physics is required to join a thriving and successful curriculum area.

The Science department is both innovative and supportive with a history of strong results at KS4 and 5, focused on inspiring children to reflect, learn and achieve.
St John Plessington Catholic College Voluntary Academy has been an oversubscribed 11-18 college for more than 10 years. We have recently been designated a Teaching School Hub.
We are looking for a Head of Department who:
Wants to transform childrens lives and develop a love of Science
Can be accountable for student progress and development within the subject area
Is an excellent classroom practitioner
Can effectively manage and deploy teaching/support staff, financial and physical resources within the department to support the designated subject portfolio
Can lead a department and develop and enhance the teaching practice of others
Work well with staff and students alike
Are looking to join a community of schools that promotes the formation of young people into successful citizens
Are interested in developing their practice and committed to their own professional development
