About the role

Schools ICT Services are a partnership between East Sussex County Council, Surrey County Council and Brighton & Hove City Council. We are a team of 75 staff who provide high quality and comprehensive IT support services within the education sector. 

We provide support to over 300 schools. We work with of all types of establishment including free schools, academies, and independent schools as well as maintained schools. We work with schools on an individual basis and across multi academy trusts.

As educational specialists within the area of IT, we welcome the opportunity to work with schools in helping pupils achieve their potential through the provision of reliable and engaging IT systems. When technology fails, everything grinds to a halt. That's why it's so important for schools to make the right IT investments. Our IT team offers a range of advisory, support, maintenance, and management services.

We are a Google for Education Partner and are also accredited to support SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom and ScholarPack MIS systems.

Schools ICT work in close partnership with the South East Grid for Learning hosted by East Sussex County Council. All of the partnership local authorities are members of SEGfL and Schools ICT operate some services in partnership with the SEGfL.

As a senior manager of our Schools ICT Services, you will lead on a portfolio of commercial programmes, projects, products and services for education establishments across the South East of England. You will be confident in providing professional expertise around service strategy and digital design to develop and maintain a value proposition of IT & Digital services that is aligned with our customers perception of value.

You will lead internal and external strategic partnerships to develop IT & Digital customer services as part of a wider Orbis Partnership offer and other managed public sector consortia across the South East of England such as the South East Grid. 

You will lead the successful transition of new services and new customers into customer delivery teams.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
