Blaby District Council is looking to appoint a full-time permanent Council Tax Officer to support our excellent Council Tax and Benefits Team in delivering a first-class service to our customers.
We are interested in hearing from individuals with a ‘can do’ approach who have the desire and ability to learn new processes, thrive and enjoy working in a busy team environment, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be committed to achieving a high level of service to our customers.
No two days are the same as a Council Tax Officer and you be covering all aspect of Council Tax including setting up accounts, registering new properties and investigatory work with a collective aim of collecting Council Tax.
The successful candidate will play a key role in helping our service meet and exceed performance standards whilst delivering excellent customer service. You must be able to work well as part of a diverse team and effectively under your own initiative and be able to deal with difficult and challenging situations. The successful candidate will be dealing with customers face to face and over the phone, therefore being empathetic and putting the customer at the heart of everything you do is key for this role.

This role will require a basic Disclosure and Barring Service check (known as a DBS check). All offers of employment will be made conditional upon receipt of the satisfactory DBS check
