We are seeking someone to join the Admission Appeal Team, supporting the coordination and administration of school admission appeal hearings.

We are seeking a dedicated team player, with excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.  This is a busy and varied role which contributes to the provision of school admission appeal hearings, ensuring all appeals are heard independently and fairly.

The role will specifically hold responsibility for securing the admission appeal panel volunteers, maintaining a rota of volunteers, circulating appeal paperwork as required, processing volunteers expense claims as well as being administratively responsible for appeals relating to Independent Review Panels, following a student being permanently excluded from school.

What will you be doing?

To contribute to and support the provision of an effective statutory education appeals service for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough local authorities, in accordance with legislative requirements to ensure the effective running of the Education Admission Appeals and Independent Review Panel processes for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. 

To support the Education Appeals Officers in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough with the coordination of education appeals and Independent Review Panels.

About you

The attributes that we are looking for are as follows:

Extensive experience in working in a customer facing workplace.

Good IT skills, Excel and MS Office.

Ability to work under own initiative.

Good communicator.

Ability to analyse data and present information.

Willing to be flexible in working arrangements to meet the demands of the Service.

Organised and a team player.
