The East Sussex Youth Justice Service is seeking a Youth Justice Worker to join our fantastic Youth Justice team based in Eastbourne, supporting children to prevent the risk of re-offending.
The East Sussex Youth Justice Service is a multi-agency team. Their overall aim is to support children and young people who receive out of court disposals and statutory court orders to improve their outcomes and to deliver high-quality practice.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- A passion for, and experience of, direct work with children and young people, undertaking assessments and delivering interventions.
- Experience of delivering individual and group work sessions, to challenge, motivate and engage children and young people.

Youth justice work is a privilege and offers the chance to support children and young people to move away from crime. How often are you able to support a child or young person to maximise their future life chances? In this job you can every day.
Hours of work are 37 a week, generally day time but they need to be flexible so you must be able to work some late evenings and Saturdays.
The role does require transporting children and young people, where needed, to appointments and activities. Therefore a full, clean, UK driving licence is a must, along with access to a suitable vehicle.
The post will be based at Hampden Park, Eastbourne, working with children from around the county.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
