Programme Support Officer - Leadership
About the role
This role is part of a new team within the Improvement Directorate being formed to deliver a new graduate programme within local government. The programme aims to recruit a diverse pipeline of graduates to a specific area within local government, where they will work and study. In this role, you will work closely with colleagues, external suppliers, councils and applicants to provide comprehensive administrative support to the delivery of a competitive, multi-stage recruitment process.
The role is based in our Westminster office by default but can instead be a home-based contract (salary will exclude London weighting) on request.
About you
Have you got a strong track record of providing excellent administrative support to the delivery of complex, fast-paced projects? Armed with first rate administration, organisation and communication skills, you might be the ideal candidate for a new role working to build a talent pipeline of graduates into a target area within local government. We’ll expect you to work as part of a team, providing comprehensive administrative support for the delivery of this pilot programme.
You must have the right to work in the UK, the LGA are unfortunately unable to offer sponsorship visas. Evidence for the right to work in the UK will be requested at the interview stage.
