About Us:

These are exciting times for Hart, particularly for the Development Management
(DM) team. Our DM Manager came into post in 2021 and we are now growing the
management capacity in our team. We have ambitious plans to improve our service
delivery plus exciting major and heritage developments on the horizon.

We are looking for an interim Team Leader on a 12 month contract to manage a
team of planners within Development Management. Planning is firmly at the heart of
the Council’s vision to 2040 and we’re consistently ranked as one of the best places
to live in the UK.

We  are a small local authority with big ambition. We want to do things bigger, bolder,
and better than we have before. Our Council is small enough for you to be able to
see the direct impact and influence you can have through your day-to-day work and
know the names of your colleagues. You will also notice that you get to see the faces
of our Senior Leadership and Chief Executives on a regular basis.

At Hart, we work together to shape the environment for the people in our district and
we listen to suggestions and contributions from staff at all levels to improve the way
we do this.

The work we have at Hart is diverse and challenging, you can develop
your skills and work as part of a friendly and committed team.

We’d love to hear from you and for an informal chat, please get in touch with our DM
Manager, Steph Baker on stephanie.baker@hart.gov.uk or 01252 774136.

Please include a supporting statement (2 sides of A4) outlining why you are
interested in the role and how your knowledge and experience makes you a great
candidate.

Interview date: Interviews are scheduled to be held on site at Hart District Council
Offices w/b 12 th June 2023
