About the role
Rotherfield School’s mission is ‘To build a community of caring, resilient learners'
We are a one form entry village school where every child and adult is known. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to be the first point of call for parents, children and visitors in our busy office.
You will be responsible for and carry out a range of tasks including attendance, admissions, answering the school telephone, providing administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team, managing and replying to office emails and our MIS (management information system), receiving and drafting correspondence, parent communication and first aid (training will be provided).
The working hours are currently 8.30am-4.30pm Monday and Tuesday, and 8.30am-12 noon on Wednesdays. Starting salary £11.81 per hour, term time only.
The children are enthusiastic, welcoming and excited to learn. They arrive at school with ‘a buzz of excitement’ (Ofsted 2023). Staff and parent surveys acknowledge that we prioritise the wellbeing of staff and pupils.
