Senior Museums and Visitors Services Officer - Southsea Castle

Salary: Band: 7, £27,852 - £32,020 p.a.

37 hours per week.

Fixed term contract until 30.4.2024.

Your New Role

Portsmouth Museums are looking for a dynamic, experienced individual to join the team at Southsea Castle.

This is an exciting and varied role managing Southsea Castle as a visitor attraction and ensuring an excellent experience for all wedding and celebratory event bookings throughout the year.

What you'll need to succeed

The right person will have experience in managing weddings or similar high-profile events. Attention to detail is key to ensure events are delivered to an exceptional standard and the role is likely to require some evening work to facilitate this.  

Southsea Castle is a Scheduled Ancient Monument, you will need to have experience of managing a heritage site or similar, to include key holding, leading a team, managing building issues etc.

The role is offered initially until 30.4.24 on a fixed term contract, working 37 hours a week, Tuesday to Saturday plus some evenings and bank holidays.
