About Us:

Yes, we’re known for our award winning parks, open spaces and rows of Edwardian houses in tree lined streets but Ealing has much more to offer and there’s never been a better time to join us. Ealing is a culturally vibrant London Borough with thriving communities in the heart of West London, served by a Council that is optimistic and ambitious about the future.

The Council plan identifies the council’s three priorities:

  • Creating good jobs – returning good well-paid jobs to our borough and delivering the next generation of genuinely affordable homes.
  • Tackling the climate crisis – cleaning our air and ensuring the borough we build is sustainable.
  • Fighting inequality – that blights too many lives and disproportionately holds back all too many people from achieving their dreams and aspirations.

If you are ready to take the next step in your career, this is a fantastic opportunity to work strategically with a dynamic and progressive leadership team in Finance led by the chief finance officer, to shape and influence positive outcomes for residents.

As our Principal Accountant for Housing and related services which includes Housing Revenue Account (HRA), you will be an integral part of a dedicated team to facilitate delivery of better outcomes for our tenants and residence. We are looking for an individual who possesses strong communication skills with a focus on working Collaboratively across a diverse portfolio. Strong financial analysis skills and a demonstratable knowledge of the issues facing Housing development projects, Major project appraisal, HRA, General Fund Temporary Accommodation and related services is essential to being successful in this role.

In addition to your accounting skills and strategic approach, you will understand and exemplify effective relationship management and be committed to team development, shaped by quality service delivery and customer outcomes.

Ealing is a great place to work and we offer a range of employee benefits, including flexible working, pension and, as importantly, a real opportunity to both make a difference and progress your career.

Our offices are easily accessed, located in a lively eclectic town centre, already close to the transport links of Ealing Broadway, which when the Elizabeth Line opens, will only be 14 minutes from central London.

This post is subject to Ealing’s enhanced vetting process.
