Salary: £24,148 - £27,852 p.a plus 17% shift allowance
Hours: 37.00 hours per week to include shift and weekend working

The Service:
Beechside Residential Unit offers a comprehensive short break care service to children and young people aged between 5-18 years who have a severe physical and or learning disability.

What is the role?
To be responsible for the day to day interaction and care of up to three young people with a range of complex needs. You will work alongside the young people by helping them to achieve their specific individual needs and improving their future outcomes. You will be expected to apply relevant legislation, policies and procedures and guidance relating to residential childcare.
To have a lead role in relation to Ofsted inspections and action planning.
To work alongside other professionals such as social workers, CAMHS, Youth Offending Team, schools to provide a consistent team approach to manage care & risk and attend meetings with young people or represent the team at meetings.
What you will need to succeed:
As well as having good knowledge and experience of working in a residential unit you will be able to manage challenging and difficult/stressful situations calmly and assertively.
Hold a NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in care and be prepared undertake training to achieve NVQ Level 4.
Have knowledge of The Children's Home Regulations 2015, and knowledge of the Ofsted SCCIF.
