Chelmsford City Council is seeking a full time, fixed term, Domestic Abuse Housing Officer to work alongside our Homelessness Caseworkers when assessing the assistance which can be provided to those at risk of homelessness due to domestic abuse. This will include working with the Housing Solutions team and partner agencies, to support and advise clients to seek safe and secure pathways into alternative accommodation, or to remain in their current homes safely.
The successful candidate will need a good knowledge of Housing and Domestic Abuse legislation with experience of providing advice and assistance to various individuals with housing or domestic abuse concerns. With excellent communication skills, report writing abilities and being able to work well under pressure in order to meet deadlines, you will become a key player in our team.
