Housing Assessment Officer

Fixed Term Contract for 12 months

 

 

Blaby District Council’s Housing Team is a busy, high performing Housing Advice service.

 

We are looking for a knowledgeable individual who is passionate about helping people resolve their housing problems to join our friendly team and help us to continue delivering a first-class service to our customers.

 

Candidates must have: -

 

  • An understanding of the Council’s choice-based lettings scheme
  • Knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act and the Housing Act Part VI and part VII
  • An awareness of the Councils Housing Allocations Policy
  • Knowledge of private rented sector housing and legislation
  • The ability to work with minimum supervision and prioritise workloads
  • Previous experience of working sensitively with customers
  • The ability to work in a pressured environment
