Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced monitoring and evaluation practitioner to join a successful team whose work informs and shapes the Combined Authority’s policy, strategy and investment activity. We are looking for a candidate who possesses strong project management and people skills, with an excellent understanding of data collection methods (both quantitative and qualitative) and various analytical approaches to interpreting data. Candidates should be proficient in working with logic models, theory of change and a range of output and outcome indicators.
The post holder will play a pivotal role in supporting the National Evaluation of the LCR’s gainshare funding; implementing the organisation’s recently revised monitoring and evaluation framework; and embedding a new indicator/impact monitoring framework into the work of teams across the organisation. You will specifically support the CA’s Monitoring and Evaluation Manager to plan, design, deliver and commission evaluation activity to inform future policy development, and the design and improvement of CA interventions and programmes. Policy areas cover Transport, Employment and Skills, Business and Innovation, Housing and Spatial Planning, Culture and the Environment.
As you will be expected to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders, assist with articulating policy implications and the dissemination of key evaluation findings – we are looking for an outstanding communicator with experience in writing, presenting and sharing ideas with different audiences. Collaboration with colleagues is an essential part of the role and will suit individuals who enjoy working with others as a valued partner, peer and colleague.
