If you have a proven track record of delivering grounds maintenance and staffed park services, preferably in a local authority setting and have the ability to lead a large and dedicated horticultural team, a fabulous opportunity has arisen to join us as a Green Space Development Manager.

 

The successful post holder will lead on shaping and implementing our frontline services using agile working techniques and IT generated work programmes and inspections. Consequently, we are looking for a Greenspace champion to bring together these two important services with the effective delivery of the council’s Greenspace service.

 

You should be qualified to HND Level or equivalent in an appropriate subject area (e.g. Landscape Management, Amenity Horticulture) and have substantial management experience of parks and grounds maintenance staff. You will have a thorough knowledge of horticulture and will ideally be a member of an appropriate professional body.

 

In addition, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills being able to communicate clearly and effectively face to face, by telephone or other means, whilst demonstrating courtesy and tact in dealing with a wide range of customers and elected members.

 

Possession of a valid full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is an essential requirement.
