Planning Manager
Having adopted the new local plan, the Council aims to tackle the key issues facing the district in order to meet the community's economic, environmental and social aims for the future of the area, particularly where this affects the development and use of land.
We require a forward thinking, creative individual to facilitate growth within the District and to proactively and pragmatically manage a team of Planning Officers to provide for sustainable development that supports the Councils growth priorities and aspirations.
You will be a fully qualified planner of chartered status (MRTPI) or equivalent, with substantial experience in planning practice and experience of dealing with a range of complex planning applications, an effective negotiator and resilient under pressure, you will be able to analyse complex situations and produce achievable solutions.
In addition you must have experience of leading/managing people, financial and other resources to achieve service objectives with a proven record of achievement in project management in planning and service improvement in a medium-sized organisation.
