Homelessness Prevention Officer
We have a new opportunity to join our Housing Solutions team on a fixed term contract for one year.
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Homelessness Prevention Officer. Your role will be to support those that are leaving the Homes For Ukraine scheme and work closely with key partners on the early identification of households who might be at risk of homelessness and provide a comprehensive homelessness prevention service, using advice and guidance with the aim of finding solutions for households who are at risk of homelessness and prevent homelessness from happening.
The post holder will be required to work collaboratively with the Housing Solutions Officers, Temporary Accommodation Service, and the Allocations Service to ensure a high-quality customer focused service is offered to all customers.
You will have recent experience of working in a homeless prevention or housing advice/options role with a local authority, Registered Social Landlord, homeless charity or similar. Above all you will be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision, possess excellent communication skills and have the enthusiasm to help others overcome their problems.
