An exciting opportunity has arisen within Liverpool City Council.

We are looking to recruit an Associate Director of Public Health (Healthcare Public Health)/ Consultant in Public Health to join our Public Health Team. If you are interested we would love to hear from you.

This role is an essential part of the public health strategic leadership team, working to strengthen our interagency relationships at a senior level alongside the Director of Public Health. The post holder will lead on healthcare public health, addictions, and research & development to encourage positive system and behaviour change to make a difference to the health and wellbeing of our residents; by supporting our health and care partners, and our communities to reduce inequalities.

We are seeking an ambitious, creative and forward-thinking public health professional, keen to build on our strong track record of successful public health delivery and work within a supportive, well-resourced and integrated team. This could be your first Consultant role, or you could be already at that level. The salary for the role is NHS Medical/Dental grade or Chief Officer upto £95,000 per year.

Applicants should be educated to degree level or its equivalent by experience, and be a Member of the Faculty of Public Health. You may also be included in the GMC Specialist Register/GDC Specialist List in a specialty other than public health medicine or dental public health, and have significant experience of working within the healthcare public health arena.

The closing date for applications is midnight Monday 29th May.  Shortlisting will take place in the week commencing 5th June, with interviews due to be held on the 19th June.
