About the role

We are looking for an excellent primary practitioner to join us at Jarvis Brook School from Term 1 2023. We have an Ofsted ‘Good’ in all categories: great academic results; wonderful, polite, hardworking children; and a great team of people to work alongside - who put the children at the centre of everything they do.

We have space for a skilled Key Stage 1 or Early Years teacher – we plan to play to your strengths and consider where you’d fit in best with us.

Come and visit and see if you’d be right for us - or if we’d be perfect for you!

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • a sound understanding of the new Framework and new Curriculum;
  • high expectations of children’s achievement and behaviour;
  • be someone who cares deeply about children and is passionate about them fulfilling their potential;
  • the ability to inspire, engage and excite young children through their learning;
  • the capability to consistently and effectively use a range of strategies for teaching and classroom management;
  • high personal standards, a sense of humour and the energy and dedication to bring their very best to our school and our children.

At Jarvis Brook School we have:

  • children who are an absolute delight to teach;
  • colleagues who are supportive and enjoy working as a team;
  • highly trained and effective support staff;
  • a commitment to CPD for all staff.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed. Come and see if we’d be right for you!

Please call the School Office to arrange a visit, or to discuss details of the post further with the Headteacher.
