About the role

Our Duty and Assessment team offers a solid and stable environment, within which our social workers thrive. We work with young people from 0 to 19 years old on a short-term basis. This role is incredibly varied and includes responsibilities such as creating family assessments, section 47 enquiries, private fostering assessments and assessments of homeless young people. Our office is based in the heart of Eastbourne which offers free parking.

At East Sussex County Council we ensure that we provide extensive support to our social workers and deliver high quality relationship-based practice to our children and families.

Work with an organisation who possess clear vision, strong leadership and help to create an environment of stability and security for families. We prioritise and focus on the quality of social work practice rather than processes and procedures.

We warmly welcome applications from all sections of the community but particularly encourage those from Black and ethnic minority backgrounds, those who are disabled, male and those who identify as trans.  We are working towards recruiting a workforce that reflects our community because we recognise the unique skills and experience that everyone brings to our roles.
