Customer Service Advisor – Repairs

Housing Maintenance and Asset Management

NS6 £22,777 - £24,054 per annum (pay award pending)

37 hours per week

Permanent

Following an internal promotion, we are looking for an individual with excellent customer service skills to join our Works Planning team. In this role, you will be required to provide a high quality, customer-orientated, advice and information service, on the phone and online, specifically in relation to housing repairs and asset works.

As an employer, we offer a competitive salary, an excellent pension scheme, hybrid working, a generous annual leave entitlement that increases with service, a whole host of family-friendly benefits, 1 days’ paid volunteering leave, free staff car parking* and £10 gym membership at one of our four gyms in the district.

It’s more than all the great benefits above though; as an organisation we are welcoming, caring and invest in our employees. If you want to work for a professional and dedicated organisation who are all about providing excellent services to all of our residents and customers then come and join our team.

The successful candidate will have experience of providing information and advice in a customer service setting as well as a knowledge and understanding of repairs work and works planning. You will also have the ability to use your own initiative, excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a busy environment.

For more information about the role, or for an informal chat, please contact Michelle Bentley on 01636 551620 or michelle.bentley@newark-sherwooddc.gov.uk

To apply, please contact recruitment@newark-sherwooddc.gov.uk for a copy of the job description and then submit a CV and cover letter. A well thought through cover letter, explaining how you meet the essential criteria for the role, will be considered far more favourably than a generic cover letter and CV.

As an employer, we will promote an inclusive working environment to maintain and develop a forward thinking and diverse workforce.

*free staff car parking is valid until 31 July 2024.

Veterans/family of forces/ex-forces, those in care/care leavers, and candidates who declare disabilities (as defined by the Equality Act 2010) will be guaranteed interviews provided they have demonstrated that they meet the essential criteria of the post, as detailed in the Person Specification, on their application form /CV/Cover Letter.

Closing date: 12 noon, Tuesday 4th April 2023

Interviews: Week commencing 17th April 2023
