BASIS: Hours dependent on service delivery
GRADE B: £10.60 to £10.98 per hour
Equivalent to £20,441 to £21,189 per annum pro rata
The council is recruiting two Casual Sport & Community Activity Assistants to join the Community Health and Wellbeing Development team. The role will include delivering a variety of sport and community activity sessions within the borough.
The Community Health and Wellbeing Development team have various ongoing projects which require support delivery such as youth engagement, school holiday schemes & wider community activities.
It is beneficial that you have some experience of working in partnership and delivering sport and physical activities in a wide range of environments and community settings. A recognised level 1 coaching qualification, or equivalent or the willingness to complete one is ideal for the role.
We are looking for candidates that can communicate with people effectively and to work on their own to adapt sessions appropriately to meet the needs of various groups.
Hours of work will primarily include weekday and evening working but may include occasional weekends and bank holidays and during school holiday periods. Applicants must have a full driving licence.
Please note the successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
