Are you an experienced research professional looking for an exciting new opportunity to use research to improve health and wellbeing and tackle health inequalities in Medway?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Research Officer working within the Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) Medway (see https://www.medway.gov.uk/hdrc for more information). This role will support the essential work needed to set up and develop HDRC Medway including understanding and strengthening research focused links with the third sector and underserved communities, developing a research prioritisation process and developing a communications and engagement strategy. It is an opportunity to work at the heart of the Council, engage internal and external stakeholders and develop your skills and experience.
The successful candidate will have a relevant degree (e.g., public health, social sciences) and have experience in research methods (academically or applied). They will also be able to build a strong rapport and relationships at all levels within and outside of the organisation and have a keen interest in improving health and wellbeing. They will have proven skills and experience in project management and able to work autonomously.
