Wyre Council is a forward thinking, collaborative, digital-first organisation, and an exciting opportunity has arisen within the newly restructured ICT department for a skilled, passionate, highly motivated, and professional individual to join and strengthen our dedicated and friendly team.

Working as part of our Service Desk team, the successful candidate will be the first point of contact for customers with ICT related issues. We pride ourselves on customer service, working to SLA’s and within the guidelines of IT Service Management, so ensuring that calls are thoroughly investigated and dealt with efficiently is paramount.

This is a very interesting and varied role and the successful candidate will have the opportunity of working with a wide range of technologies, from virtualisation platforms and cutting-edge network management tools, through to Microsoft’s Office 365 and Azure cloud platforms. We support a wide variety of applications and hardware, so there is always something interesting to get your teeth in to and plenty to learn along the way.

We like to encourage our team members to progress their personal development, and to support this we provide access to professional learning facilities covering a wide range of topics. The role also involves working closely with our second-line team which presents opportunities for on-the-job training and knowledge sharing as well as serving as an escalation point for support.

If you have a genuine passion for customer service and a flair for ICT, then we would love to hear from you!
