This is an exciting opportunity, to work across Public Health service and Adult Care service, supporting a range of functions relating to improving health outcomes across the local population in relation to treatment and support for people sleeping rough, or experiencing homelessness. The departments commission a range of services from public, private and third sector organisations to deliver essential public health and support services. The services will be reaching a wide scope of vulnerable groups, such as people with mental health problems, learning disabilities, carers and people from socioeconomically disadvantaged groups.

You will take the lead on the mobilisation and monitoring of housing support and prison release services. Both roles include monitoring, reporting and matrix management of services.

This is a fast-paced environment, within the local authority. You will be in regular contact with third sector providers, other areas of the public sector and government departments including the Office for Health Improvement & Disparities and the Department for Levelling Up, Communities & Housing.

You will need to be able to work under pressure and be extremely well organised, taking a pro-active approach to your workload.

We’ll need you to have a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service and be able to ensure work is carried out to a high standard within agreed KPIs. With highly developed interpersonal skills you will be confident in developing and delivery communications to a variety of stakeholders. You’ll be competent in Microsoft packages.

These roles can make a real difference and have a positive impact to our residents, and on the communities of Hertfordshire.

By choosing to work with HCC, you will get the chance to work alongside some fantastic providers, and really see the positive work they already do in the communities, and you get the opportunity to contribute to this going forward.

The role will require someone who can think creatively and develop innovative ways of delivering grant funded drug, alcohol and housing related support services.

If this sounds like the opportunity for you, would love to hear from you!
