Are you a highly organised person, with an eye for finances/detail and have a desire to work in Regeneration and our very busy team?

 

Cannock Chase Council is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, professional and committed individual to help deliver the diverse and challenging workload of a busy section. Your role will be to provide senior support for a key project within the Cannock Chase Prosperity Strategy (specifically the UK Shared Prosperity Fund).

 

We have an approved UKSPF Investment Plan and the funding circa £3.2m up to 31st March 2025. We need the right person to help to deliver against this plan for the Council and join our exciting team.

 

 

Essential requirements for this role include:

 

  • Evidence of leading projects, working in partnership and excellent presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and be proficient in their application and use.
  • An ability to prioritise, lead, work independently with minimal supervision, often to short deadlines.
  • Experience of compiling funding monitoring and performance returns for external funders.
  • A commitment to continuous professional and personal development and on the job training.
  • Attention to detail and figures.
  • Knowledge and awareness of Central Government Funding e.g UKSPF (formerly known as ESF or ERDF).
  • Project management skills with excellent organisational skills.
  • Access to an appropriate means of transport to access locations within the District and beyond.
  • The ability to maintain a professional disposition at all times and set an example to others.
  • Flexibility and the ability to work within a small team as a senior officer.
  • Relevant knowledge and experience sufficient to secure Associate Membership of the Institute for Economic Development (IED) or equivalent Project Management Membership Association.

 

In addition, you will ideally hold or be working towards a degree or equivalent qualification in an economic regeneration, planning, funding, project management or a relevant business, tourism or social science discipline.
