We are seeking to recruit a well-qualified and experienced Data Manager to cover a maternity leave for one year.  This is an exciting opportunity to join our highly successful school as part of our supportive and committed curriculum team.  Working closely with the Assistant Headteacher (Curriculum) we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic professional to lead on all aspects of Data, Assessment and Reporting.  

Weatherhead High School is an extremely popular school.  We are oversubscribed on intake with an average number of 255 students in each year group. 

The role:

  • To lead on and manage all aspects of student assessment and reporting data
  • To carry out accurate analysis of data after each assessment, including examinations, and prepare data reports for the Senior Leadership Team and other colleagues on a regular basis
  • To lead and manage the school reporting system, working with the Assistant Data & Examinations Manager and quality assure all reports
  • To play a key role in assisting in timetabling and curriculum management processes throughout the year.

Skills and knowledge: The successful candidate should possess:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification, or significant professional experience
  • Extensive experience of analysing data to inform progress and planning
  • Experience of assessment packages including Sims.net
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team
  • The ability to work under pressure, to deadlines and maintain accuracy and standards
  • A commitment to the safeguarding of children and young people

 Contract: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.15 am – 4.30 pm, all year round.  NJC points 19-24, salary £27,852 per annum (actual) within the range £27,852 to £31,099 (the successful candidate will be required to work during the summer examination results weeks).
