The Role
- As an Occupational Therapist you will be working collaboratively with the Social Workers and Social Care Practitioners in an Adult team to identify ways to manage the needs of adults who need care and support in the community.
- The work is very varied and will involve working with adults with a wide range of needs and disabilities.
- Skills in moving and positioning assessments and knowledge of seating solutions are essential to enable the people to maintain their independence and safety at home.
- Our Occupational Therapists also advise on adaptations to property and equipment provision and provide training to informal carers and care agency staff.
- It will be important to work with both external partners (e.g. Health, Voluntary Sector) and internal partners (e.g. Housing, Safeguarding)

The Ideal Candidate would have the following skills and attributes
- Experience of working in Adult Social Care sector
- You will be an HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
- You will need expert knowledge of the contribution of reablement to promoting independence
- You will have experience of working with Colleagues from other disciplines
- Hold a full driving licence and use of a vehicle for work
- Enhanced DBS check with relevant barred list/s
