We are seeking a dynamic individual with experience of working within a business administration setting to support the delivery of the Merseyside Resilience Forum's (MRF) 2 year pilot community resilience programme. You will be responsible for the provision of a full range of administrative and secretarial services to the MRF's community resilience work stream.   

This post is fixed term for 2 years to coordinate MRF's activities to develop and implement enhanced community resilience working across the region.

 Your key responsibilities will include:

  • To ensure that the MRF's community resilience planning preparations and arrangements run efficiently and effectively
  • To ensure delivery of the MRF's priorities and work plan whilst maintaining the highest degree of confidentiality and discretion. 
  • To support the MRF’s Community Resilience Coordinator in delivering the work stream.
  • To prioritise and respond to correspondence, internal and external communications and arrange meetings, seminars, appointments and other events as required.
  • To organise and prepare agendas, take minutes, collate documentation and be responsible for a secure filing system via Resilience Direct where possible.
  • To follow the progress of reports and other work.
  • To attend national, sub-national and local emergency planning Community Resilience forums and events, in order to support MRF representatives.

Applicants will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of Microsoft packages (inc. Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint)
  • Experience of working under pressure to adapt to changing workloads to meet deadlines and meeting service level agreements
  • Experience of minute taking
  • Experience of providing secretarial service managing diaries, booking appointments, managing actions from meetings, arranging training sessions, booking travel arrangements, collation and publications of reports
  • Experience of administering financial budgets, producing purchase orders, arranging for invoices to be raised and ordering supplies
