The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.
If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.

We are excited to welcome a new or experienced SENCO (who holds QTS status) who is committed to supporting the children, families and community of Langney.
Langney Primary Academy and Bright Sparks Nursery combine to form a caring, and nurturing school that is passionate about inclusion and determined to help every child succeed. Our pupils behave well and show excellent attitudes to both their learning and relationships with others. We are dedicated to excellence in all areas.
This post has become available due to an internal promotion and the new SENCO will join an extensive and established SEND leadership team consisting of a deputy and assistant SENCO. Support and CPD from within the school and our Trust will be wholeheartedly provided.
The successful applicant will be committed to raising standards for all pupils and has strong leadership skills with excellent organisational skills. They will be expected to have good emotional intelligence and be able to work effectively with colleagues and the school community.
This exciting opportunity will sustain our universal offer of high quality inclusive teaching and learning provision in all classrooms by leading staff CPD with knowledge and skills.
