Remote Working

This role is open to remote working meaning you aren't required in the office 5 days a week. We're less about you driving to work and more about us collectively driving down our carbon footprint. We care about how you work rather than where you work; the people rather than the postcode. In support of our people and our greener futures strategies, we'd welcome a conversation with the successful candidate on what remote working may look like for you but there will be an expectation that you will be in the office on a regular basis for team days and as business need dictates.

About the role

We are looking for a full-time Senior Team Administrator to work in this varied and interesting role within the Children, Families & Learning Business Support Team based in our Woking (Quadrant Court, GU22 7QQ) or Reigate (Woodhatch Place, RH2 8EF) office, although our team days are usually held in our Reigate office.

Children, Families and Learning provides a range of highly specialist services to vulnerable children and young people. Services are delivered directly to children and their families within extensive statutory frameworks and staff working in these areas need specialist knowledge in order to deliver effective services to these high risk and high need groups. This role is based within our Secretariat Team who arrange multi-agency panels to discuss care packages and costings for children and young people.

As a Senior Team Administrator your role will be to plan and organise these panels, liaising with professionals both within Social Care and external agencies; keeping track of information, updating and maintaining spreadsheets and databases; taking meeting notes and subsequently distributing to involved parties, ensuring timescales are met, and providing performance information.

About you

You will be highly organised and willing to take responsibility, as well as using initiative. You will be comfortable in setting your own priorities and meeting deadlines. You will make sure that everything is in place to guarantee that all runs smoothly for the processes and teams you support.

Excellent interpersonal skills are essential along with a high level of written and oral communication skills. You will have experience of working with highly confidential information in a customer focused environment and have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a solid background in administration, and is experienced in working in a busy office environment
  • Has experience of managing workflow and/or leading more junior staff
  • Has excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Is confident, organised and able to implement a proactive approach to your work
  • Has excellent IT skills and is proficient in using Microsoft Office

We look forward to receiving your application.

The job advert closes at 23:59 on 23rd March 2023. However please note that applications will be shortlisted and interviewed on an ongoing basis and therefore vacancies may be filled before the closing date.

Benefits

From flexible working to job sharing (where possible) we are committed to providing a healthy work life balance. A laptop and mobile will be supplied if applicable to your role. You will benefit from 26 days annual leave, rising to 28 days after 2 years' service, a generous local government salary related pension, as well as the option to join our car lease scheme. For more information about the wide variety of benefits you can take advantage of please visit the advert on the employer site.
