Apprenticeship Assistant (Advanced Apprentice)

Salary: £20,812 to £21,189 per annum.
Working Pattern: Full-Time, 37 hours per week.
Contract: Fixed Term
Location: Hybrid with County Hall, Chichester as your office base.
As part of the central Apprenticeship Team, this role works with colleagues across the organisations, supporting several activities from enrolments to learner feedback, helping the WSCC Apprenticeship Team deliver a positive, customer focused service to others.
This role is part of a fast-paced team, and you will be regularly communicating with colleagues and training providers through phone and email. You will also be responsible for ensuring that apprenticeship data and documentation are processed efficiently and effectively, supporting the Learning and Development Operations Manager, Apprenticeship Consultants, and wider team on a daily basis.
As part of this role, you will undertake the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship with Chichester College Group over 18 months. The apprenticeship will include:
- Virtual monthly learning sessions
- A mixture of virtual and face to face assessment visits every 4 and 12 weeks
- Undertaking both on and off the job training, including workshops and developing a work-based portfolio
- Buddying and mentoring support
- Obtain Functional Skills in English and Maths (if you don't already have GCSE or equivalent)
The apprenticeship will provide you with the opportunity to apply knowledge and skills gained from your learning to your role and progress your career.
Experience and Skills
Key Skills:
- Good communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team completing shared tasks
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently work with complex queries and sensitive issues, responding appropriately
- Ability to meet set deadlines and understand when problems need to be referred upwards
- Proficient IT skills
- Ability to understand data protection and sensitivity around complex situations
Qualifications and/or experience:
- 5 GCSEs with A-C passes including Maths and English or equivalent qualification or experience demonstrating that level of numeracy and literacy.
