What we are looking for?
Our Business Intelligence Service is responsible for council-wide data collection, analysis, visualisation, and performance reporting. We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our service in the Children’s BI team. You will be dealing primarily with Education and SEND data using tools such as Excel, SQL, and Power BI to analyse that data and provide insight.
An interest and enthusiasm for education services is essential as is a willingness to work closely with schools and colleagues across the local authority and our partner organisations.
We’re looking for someone who is interested in data and information and curious to apply any insights to improve outcomes for our children. You will have at least an intermediate level of Excel (lookups, pivots, macros etc.), and some knowledge of SQL (basic syntax) and Power BI (what it does, how it works etc.) but we can provide training to get you to advanced levels. You should also have some knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of local authorities overall and in relation to education.
