Social Worker - Specialist Adolescent Service
This is an exciting time to be joining Hertfordshire’s uniquely integrated Specialist Adolescent Service Hertfordshire. An opportunity to work with a skilled, motivated and dedicated workforce, who are passionate about getting it right and ensuring that adolescents have every opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential. The Specialist Adolescent Service Hertfordshire integrates Youth Justice, Social Care and Prevention Services and works closely with partners to support families where there are concerns of extra familial harm, risk of entry into care and or offending behaviour.
The service is part of the wider Children Services and aims to improve the lives of young people and their families where there are extra familial concerns, risk of or offending behaviour; risk of a child entering into care.
Using the skills and experience of its own staff and through a wider partnership it will deliver intensive multi-agency support through which vulnerable young people and their families are provided with effective, child-centred safeguarding interventions, underpinned by trauma informed and motivational interviewing practice.
This is a challenging but rewarding post, as you support children and families to overcome the difficulties that they are experiencing, access services to meet their needs, and make changes to improve outcomes.
You will need to be a qualified and registered Social Worker with a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Interviews arranged on an ad hoc basis.
